Presented in Palm Beach, a context defined by refined collecting culture and material sensitivity, Natural Treasures explored the relationship between natural formation and artistic intention.

The exhibition positioned rare gemstones and geological formations, including significant pieces originating from China, in direct dialogue with Konnyu’s abstract paintings, establishing a field in which natural and human-made structures coexist without hierarchy.

This dialogue resonates with the artist’s sustained engagement with East Asian philosophical traditions, where attention to natural processes and underlying structures informs both perception and artistic practice. 

 

Rather than illustrating nature, the works engage with its internal logic, extending the language of abstraction toward a condition of material presence and perceptual depth.
